The red lipstick is probably the best make up trend today and is unlikely to go away anytime soon. So, how do you choose the best red lipstick for you? The first thing that you should do is to determine your skin tone and whether it is warm or cool. You can do this by looking at your inner wrist’s veins. If they are more green, then you are warm and if the appear more blue then you are cool.

Warm skin tones look perfect in orange-red lipsticks and cool skin tones look great in reds with blue undertones. If you are still not sure, consider a brick red which works on anyone. For those with warm-stoned skin, choose red lipsticks with yellow, orange or golden hues. For those with cool-toned skin, lipsticks with blue base accents the coolness of the skin.

If  you are not convinced that the red shade will look right on you, aside from choosing brick red, you may also choose a pure red color that falls between cool and warm categories. When you purchase, make sure to test it out. When you test it, pay close attention   to your skin and teeth. Your skin should be bright and vibrant and your teeth should look white as or as close white as it can get. The wrong red shade will make you appear sallow and will make your teeth appear yellow.
